Two Europeans arrested for inciting social disorder in Iran

Two European arrested for inciting social disorder in Iran.

Iran has detained two citizens of Europe and have accused them for destabilizing the country on 11 May, 2022. As per the Intelligence Ministry, a pair entered the country and made an attempt to get closer towards the teachers union, aiming to encourage social disorder. They did not specified the nationality of the two.

The protests is going on in Iran for months now by the teachers to get paid well for their experience and performance. And a lot of teachers have been detained since the time. A speaker from the human rights group came forward sharing that the union member Rasoul Bodaghi was sentenced to five years in prison.

According to the intelligence ministry, the two Europeans arrested for inciting social disorder in Iran were experienced and has some relationship with the illegal council of teacher’s league.

It seems that the Iran’s economy has been reeling under punishing sanctions that were reimposed in 2018 in US.

Sweden has also come forward for one of the tourist but is not sure that the one detained is connected to the pair inciting social disorder.
