Sri Lankan PM agrees to resign

Protestors stormed the Sri Lankan PM’s official residence in Colombo, as a result, his office disclosed on Saturday that PM Ranil Wickremesinghe has got agreed to resign.

Law enforcement agencies including police and soldiers got failed to control the protestors who were also demanding the resignation of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa. All this happened due to the worst economic crisis that people have been facing in Sri Lanka.

Protestors also got entered the Finance Ministry and the President’s seafront offices. They crossed the heavy metal gates forcefully.   

Two Defense Ministers said Rajapaksa has left the official residence on Friday for his safety.

A source in the government has said, Sri Lankan PM agrees to resign and moved to a safe location.

PM Wickremesinghe continued talks with several political party leaders to resolve the unrest.

Opposition leaders have also demanded Rajapaksa’s resignation.
