Pakistan’s current account deficit narrows for the third consecutive month
Pakistan’s current account deficit (CAD) narrowed to $0.3 billion in September from $0.7 billion in the previous month, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said late Wednesday.

For the first quarter of the current fiscal year (FY23), the current account deficit narrowed to US$2.2 billion compared to US$3.5 billion in the same period of the previous fiscal year (FY22), the central bank said in a tweet.
It should be noted that this is the third month in a row the country’s current account deficit has narrowed.
The September deficit is less than half the previous month’s level and just a quarter of the September 2021 level, the central bank said.
