NEPRA (National Electric Power Regulatory Authority) approves Rs4.89 per unit in FCA, i.e. good news for the KE consumers. The approval made on Friday is on the account of FCA for August.
In the mean time, the power regulator enhanced the price by Rs0.19 per unit for Ex-Wapda Fristribution Companies (Discos).
The changes in the rate of bill will be reflected back for October. According to Nepra, negative FCA would be applicable to every consumer category, excluding domestic and lifeline consumers using over 300 units. This is also applicable for agricultural consumer and electric vehicle charging station.
Additionally, “It is hereby clarified that the negative adjustment on account of monthly FCA is also applicable to domestic consumers having Time of Use meters irrespective of their consumption level,”
Furthermore, the power regulator said that the rise is electricity prices was applicable to all the categories except lifeline consumers and Disco vehicle charging station.
As per Nepra, while effecting the fuelad justment charges, the Discos concerned shall keep in view and strictly comply with court orders notwithstanding this order. Good News for KE consumers in Pakistan- Nepra approves Rs4.89 per unit reduction in FCA
