The term “pregnancy” is too common, described as the period when the fetus is developed within the woman’s womb (some people call it uterus). Every woman has this desire to get pregnant fast sometimes in excitement while sometimes in need of love from kids. This period lasts around 9 months or 40 weeks from the last period date till the time of delivery comes. Gynecologist across the globe has segmented this term into three different stages, namely trimester mentioned as below;
First trimester (1-3 months)
Second trimester(4-6 months)
Third trimester(7-9 months)
The period starting from week 1 to week 12 is the essential stage in the life of a pregnant woman. This is that event that initiates with conception, i.e. when a sperm penetrates an egg. Zygote (in simple terms- fertilized egg) travels in the uterus through the fallopian tube, placing itself in the wall. These fertilized eggs are produced out of a cluster of cells which lately forms the fetus as well as the placenta (an object connecting the mother and the unborn baby and making a bond between the two, thereby providing nutrients and oxygen).
The period starting from week 13 to week 28 is the relaxing phase in the life of a pregnant woman. In this trimester, the gynecologist makes the lady go for the baby ultrasound to find out if there is any defect in the upcoming birth, further finding out the sex of the baby (if anyone wants to). The movement in the baby starts in this trimester with the inception of the baby heartbeat. This is along with the formation of fingerprints and footprints, and this is also the time when the baby in the womb sleeps and wakes on a regular basis.
The period starting from week 29 to week 40 is the final phase in the life of a pregnant woman. In this phase, the fetus have too many weak bones but is fully formed with open/close eyes. There are times when the fetus growing in you is born (preterm). Such deliveries are at a risk of problems including delays in developments, problem in hearing and vision, etc.
Healthy pregnancy diet is the need of the two lives at this stage.
Gynecologist uses the term “early term” for the deliveries that take place between 37 and 38 weeks. hence, are prone to be at a greater risk than the preterm “Full term” delivery takes place in the final two weeks. At the final stage, everything reaches their maturity stage including the infants’ liver, lungs’, and brain.
If it is the first time or you are trying to conceive, it would sound odd calling yourself “Pregnant lady”. It starts with the last menstrual period which is defined as 1 pregnancy week. Below are the pregnancy symptoms;
1. Oops! Your period date is missed
After the completion of implantation, the development of human chorionic gonadotropin starts producing. It is a hormone that helps the body in maintaining the pregnancy. Further, functioning to [erform the ovaries to halt the release of the mature eggs. This is why, if you concieve, you’ll miss out your period date every month until the baby delivers.
In order to find out if you are pregnant;
Go for the test
If positive, book a prenatal appointment with your doctor
If inhaling any kind of medicine, make sure that you ask your doctor about it and follow her recommendations
During the pregnancy phase, one of the common developments in women is her developing fatigue. This is due to the fact that as soon as the progesterone in the woman’s body level soars, she will feel sleepy.
It is a must for a pregnant lady to sleep enough so that she doesn’t feel exhausted.
Gynecologists often recommend keeping the room temperature high so that the body temperature remains under control.
3. Increase in body temperature
The enhancement in the body temperature is also among the early signs of pregnancy. When pregnant, the body temperature of the one gets higher especially when the weather is way too hot and even during exercising.
4. Increased and improved heart rate
It is a possibility that the heart may pump faster than in the normal condition of the women. This is especially in the third month. As a woman, one may feel depressed about the changes her body adapts, but the change in hormones is common. For some women, the increment in the flow of blood is common. Have any heart problems? Don’t forget sharing it with your gynecologist so that you can deal with it.
5. Urination gets faster/ bloating and constipation
It is a natural thing that the body starts pumping more blood that makes the kidneys work faster, i.e. processing the fluid more frequently into the bladder. The risk of accident leaking or running towards the washrooms gets faster. This is why gynecologist suggests the intake of more and more water. A healthy pregnancy tip also includes planning the trips to the bathrooms.
Similar to the symptoms of a menopausal period, early pregnancy symptoms also include bloating. The reason behind this is the hormonal changes at this stage that slows down the digestive system. The feeling of being constipated cannot be denied too.
6. Nausea, morning sickness, vomiting
For the ladies entering into the pregnancy phase, morning sickness usually starts between 4 to 6 months. Nausea and vomiting are two common and it is the hormones that plays vital role in it. Additionally, this is something that happens during the first trimester and relaxes in the second, while in the third it boosts.
7. dizziness and high blood pressure
Alongside numerous things happening during the pregnancy, low/high blood pressure is also one of the troubles. As the blood vessels are dilated, the feeling of dizziness may stay. Since pregnancy brings numerous feelings together, it gets difficult to determine what is happening. The only tip that works includes going for exercising regularly for maintaining good physical and mental health.
The hormonal changes within the body further leads to the valve between the stomach and esophagus. Hence, allowing the leakage of the stomach acid that leads to heartburn.

Types of pregnancy
Although pregnancy seems a simple term to many, it actually has a lot of things to know and learn. There comes a stage in the life of a woman when she finds the need to know everything about her condition. Unfortunately, every lady has a different condition as a result of which they comes across different types of pregnancies. Two of the scientific reasons behind is the physical differences between the women and the release of multiple eggs.
Stretch marks during pregnancy are common. Bio-oil can help get rid of it. It is always recommended to start from the early stages of pregnancy.
Below are multiple types of pregnancies, every lady must know about;
It is the normal kind of pregnancy in which the fetus is implanted within the uterus. In such a kind, the uterine muscles have the placenta attached coming from inside the uterus.
Partial and complete pregnancy are two of it’s kind. Where the complete molar occurs with the formation of the placenta within the uterus, the partial one takes place when two different sperms join together. Thereby, not letting two fetuses to develop. In such a kind, the development of two fetuses doesn’t take place. Similarly, the placenta appears not to be a normal one as well as the fetus carrying numerous chromosomes. Hence, may result in spontaneous abortion.
When it comes to ectopic pregnancy, it takes place when the eggs plantation takes place somewhere and not in the tube or the uterus. This is an unsafe situation as the eggs may implant itself in the abdomen that may result in loss of the fetus before it could form.
It is so much the same as the ectopic pregnancy. This ends up again with miscarriage as the fertilized eggs implant them in the fallopian tube and not in the uterus.
Such a delivery normally ends up with the cesarean delivery. The scar after the C-section makes you go weak and tear, making the fetus slip in the abdominal cavity. When a woman has such a type of pregnancy, its practicality will depend on the gestational age of the baby. Such types of pregnancies are sometimes undetected and may complete their full term. One may need a complete hysterectomy after delivering the baby.
It is the type of pregnancy that comprises one egg meeting one sperm, resulting in the development of the foetus.
This type of pregnancy namely multiple pregnancy occurs when multiple eggs fertilized at one time. It could be as a result of two sperms fertilizing one or two egg or a single egg been fertilized by a single sperm and then divided.
“Research shows that identical twins born when one egg is divided into more than one zygote.”
It is a type of pregnancy that is basically considered as the loss after the implantation. It basically occurs when the heartbeat of the fetus does not appear. This type of pregnancy is unsafe as lupus is considered as a disease that duration of pregnancy complicates the fetus development via blood clotting.
Breech birth pregnancy
This is when the position of the baby is breech, i.e. head up inside the uterus while the lower body part towards the cervix. The majority of the times babies are breech in the beginning and get back to the cephalic position when near to the due date. This type of pregnancies can further be divided into different categories including complete breech, incomplete breech, and Frank breech.
This type of pregnancy condition is normally with women aged over 35 years. And having numerous health conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, etc. If the lady needs to have medication for it, the pregnancy is termed as the high- risk pregnancy.
Since every woman during pregnancy has their own conditions, finding out her type of pregnancy is what is gynecologist’s job. Which one is your type?
